Now scheduling auditions for the 2023-2024 concert season
Do you play an orchestral instrument? We are currently looking for players of all strings (especially viola and bass) as well as oboe and trumpet. However, we are always interested in hearing from strong musicians for substitutes and future opportunities. Please prepare a short excerpt of a solo work (around five minutes) and two or three orchestral excerpts.
Symphony Parnassus rehearses on Monday nights from 7:30-10:00pm in San Francisco. Rehearsals for the 2023-2024 season begin September 18. We perform four concerts per season on Sundays typically in November, January, April, and June.

Seating for wind and percussion instruments is limited and varies for each concert. If a seat is not currently available, we’ll keep you in mind for larger works or substitute opportunities.
